Iranian lobbyists and politicized NGO equate Zionism with racism--NGO Monitor exposes their bias
Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and lobbies have a great deal of influence in the United Nations, as highlighted at the infamous 2001 Durban Conference on "Racism and Xenophobia".  However, as Gerald Steinberg, the Executive Director of NGO Monitor, noted, "For the first time, NGO Monitor has submitted a report to the UN which exposes the false and biased claims of many of these organizations."  This report has been accepted as evidence by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD), which is holding a session on Israel on February 22 and 23 in Geneva.

Holocaust museum’s Farsi website attracts 6,000 Iranians in twelve days
Prints used for Jewish stars during World War IIAbout 20,000 people from throughout the world, including 6,000 from Iran, have visited Yad Vashem's Farsi-language Web site since its launch just 12 days ago. Dozens of Iranian visitors to the site have sent e-mails to Yad Vashem asking for more information on the Holocaust.  Vad Vashem officials stressed that this is a record number of visitors, and equals the annual number of visitors to the English-language Web site.
 
Transcript of UN General Assembly resolution condemning holocaust denial
The General Assembly today adopted by consensus a resolution condemning, without reservation, any denial of the Holocaust, with the United States, among the text’s 103 sponsors, stressing that to deny the events of the Holocaust -- one of the most tragic moral catastrophes in history -- “was tantamount to approval of genocide in all its forms”.

The Iranian judiciary is trying to prosecute government critics using vague, overbroad laws whose very terms restrict free expression,” said Sarah Leah Whitson, director of the Middle East division at Human Rights Watch. “Iran should be prosecuting the officials accused of torture, not the bloggers accused of holding opinions.”
 
UN ambassadors urged to support the Holocaust denial resolution
On the eve of the International Day of Commemoration of the Victims of the Holocaust, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) called on Ambassadors to the United Nations from countries who had not yet committed to support a resolution condemning Holocaust denial, to add their countries' voices to this effort.
