Tell the UN: Expel Ahmadinejad's Iran
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad systematically denies one genocide while actively seeking another: repeatedly denying the Holocaust, repeatedly threatening to eliminate Israel, and madly pursuing nuclear weapons. All this stands in contempt of the basic principles of the United Nations and warrants Iran's expulsion from the world body. Write to the President of the General Assembly urging him to take action against Ahmadinehad's Iran.

Petition to free Dr. Esfandiari, Iranian-American Director of the Center for International Scholars
We, the undersigned professorial colleagues and other citizens of good will, petition and demand that the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran immediately free Dr. Haleh Esfandiari, an Iranian-American citizen who serves as Director of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington D.C. She was imprisoned in Evin Prison on May 10, 2007 without public charges after not being allowed to leave Iran following her visit with her 93-year-old mother four months ago.

Academics advocate further boycott Iran over scholar's detainment
Iran arrests a US based scholar, a 67 years old woman, while she was visiting her ailing mother in Tehran. The dual American-Iranian citizen is being held for "crimes against national security", which if convicted, she could face the death penalty.  Because Tehran has imprisoned Esfandiari, Middle East scholar Juan Cole is canceling plans to attend an Iranian conference this summer while calling on other academics to do the same. "Everyone should be outraged about this story. Her arrest should be an issue for everyone who believes in human rights, in academic freedom, and in women's rights."  The Committee on Academic Freedom has issues a letter to the Iranian regime.

Stop Iran's Nuclear Program
With Iran continuing to defy the international community's demands to suspend its nuclear activities, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Tom Lantos (D-CA) and Ranking Member Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) have introduced comprehensive legislation aimed at increasing economic and political pressure on Iran to persuade Tehran to end its nuclear program. The legislation closes loopholes in existing sanctions law, strengthens U.S. tools to cut off funds to Iran's nuclear program and prohibits U.S. nuclear cooperation with those aiding Iran's atomic efforts.

Speak against Iran's Holocaust denial to UN
Iran's envoy to the UN Human Rights Council has just sent the Council a letter asserting that Holocaust denial is a permissible informational and academic endeavor. Make your voice heard: Send a message to the Council President and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights urging them to reject Iran's misuse of human rights principles to try to justify denying this historic tragedy.

Get informed and speak out: read this fact book on the Iranian threat
Produced by the Zionist Federation of Australia (ZFA), this new publication ‘The Iranian Threat’, provides straight facts about Iranian intolerance and aggression on the world stage.  It highlights the regime’s threats to Israel and the world; terrorism funding and training activities; the development of nuclear capabilities and long range missile technology; and exposes the extremist motives behind their holocaust denial campaign.   It then ends with links to further resources, information and advocacy opportunities.

Fight Iranian gender-apartheid with one million signatures
Iranian women’s rights activists are fighting gender apartheid through the “One Million Signatures” campaign, which demands an end to discriminatory laws against women. At present, men have the sole right to divorce and except in special cases, the right to custody of children. One man’s testimony equals that of two women. A man’s worth is twice that of a woman in cases of murder or bodily injury. A daughter receives half a son’s inheritance. And certain positions, such as that of a judge, are closed to women. The campaign aims to collect one million signatures in support of granting women equal legal status with men. It is a continuation of Iranian women’s century-long struggle for gender equality.
